Contractor landed her first role after a year of university. In 2002, Canadian theater critics were awed by her performance in 92 performances of Pericles. She accepted the invitation to enroll in Stratford's conservatory, a program that allows only four males and eight women are able to take an intensive 20-week program in classical theatre.
